Clod i'r Brenin a orchfygodd

(Y Brenin Iesu'n fuddugoliaethol)
Clod i'r Brenin a orchfygodd!
  Mae'r ddraig a'i lluoedd oll yn ffoi;
A'r llewod sydd yn
    cyffro'r seintiau
  Mewn cadwynau wedi'u cloi:
Er eu bwrw maes o'r nefoedd,
  A'u bod yn lluoedd ar y llawr,
Yr Iesu ar y groes congwerodd,
  Dirymmodd rym
      eu malais mawr.

Hosanna i'r Iesu yn drag'wyddol,
  Am ei ryfeddol gariad rhâd!
Buddugoliaeth, buddugoliaeth,
  Gaed yn berffaith yn ei wa'd:
Nerthoedd uffern a orchfygwyd,
  Angau faeddwyd ganddo fe;
Mil o filoedd syddi'w foli,
  A'i glodfori yn y ne'.

[Mesur: afreolus]

gwelir: Wele Iesu'r Pen rhyfelwr

(The King Jesus victorious)
Acclaim to the King who overcame!
  The dragon and all his host are fleeing;
And the lions who are
    disturbing the saints
  Locked in chains:
Although they were cast out of heaven,
  And they are as hosts on the earth below,
Jesus on the cross conquered,
  He disabled the force
      of their great malice.

Hosanna to Jesus eternally,
  For his wonderful free love!
Victory, victory,
  Was perfectly got in his blood:
The strengths of hell were overcome,
  Death was beaten by him;
A thousand thousands are praising him,
  And extolling him in heaven.
